How do I add Rewards to a Gym?

Firstly, any previous rewards have been migrated and will work as they previously did. Previously, the reward option inside of the Gym Menu was called "Player Rewards". It's now "Gym Rewards", but is in the same position. To get started, click it (the diamond).

The Reward Management is very similar to other menus in GGyms

Clicking "Add new Gym Reward" will create a default Reward. This default reward is executed when the Gym is defeated, and gives the challenger a stack of bread. Rewarding!

The default reward, you'll get familiar with it. Bread is filling.

Left click on the Reward to edit it. There are two major changes with GGyms 1.0:

Firstly, instead of just being able to user the {player} placeholder, which would be replaced with the challengers name, there's now {challenger} & {leader}. {player} will continue to work, but {challenger} is the new default.

Secondly, you can change the Battle Event of the Reward. There are three options:

  • "Gym Defeated": this occurs when the challenger defeats the Gym Leader.

  • "Player Defeated": the Gym Leader won the battle, and the player lost. The Gym wins!

  • "Any Result": if you don't care who won, and just want to execute this command every time, use this event.

With a combination of the three, you can run practically any commands, including triggering other mods or moving players around. You can change the Reward's event by clicking the "Change Reward Event" name tag.

Left click it to cycle through the options. Remember to save your Gym after editing Rewards!
