Behind the scenes breeding logic is based off of . A super popular and battle tested mod. Their breeding logic is available under the MIT license.
Read Commands & Permissions, Breeding Configuration, Configurable Items, and GUIs. The mod comes ready to go by default, so just get it started, and either open up the virtual daycare menu, or place down & activate a pasture block.
BetterBreeding requires , the Roanoke Library Mod. You can download the latest version from #rib-releases (grab the Rib role in "Roles & Channels" if you can't see that).
The GUIs are fully customisable, so each server can make it their own, and players wouldn't even realise two servers are using the same mod.
Supports both virtual GUI based breeding & pasture block based breeding
This mod has some mixins, but isn't complicated - this is by design. It's bullet proof and should never break. It doesn't do any funky stuff to work.
Once Cobblemon releases their breeding implementation, I'll create a porting system to seamlessly move eggs etc over to Cobblemon's design.
It adds a Pokemon Property for whether a Pokemon is breedable! You can do "/pokegive random shiny breedable=no", for instance.
It's extensible, new breeding methods and gimicks can be added over time.
It's compatible with Roanoke Development's BBottlecaps - capped Pokemon will pass on their natural IVs when breeding.
Egg Data can be encrypted so client side mods can't get sneak previews of baby Pokemon
