Teams is the ultimate player-group sidemod for Cobblemon

Teams is a step above a normal Factions-like mod, feature packed, supports all server setups, and can be expanded upon by 3rd party mods so that it can act as the centre of your Cobblemon server, tying features & players together, increasing engagement, and ultimately just being fun to have.

Current Features

  • Role & Permission System: intuitive, player-managed role & permission system for Teams. Owners can create subroles and manage their names & permissions. All managed by a simple GUI. This lets each Team handle access to different features themselves, read more: Team Roles & Permissions

  • Pokemon Bank: Teams have a shared PC/storage system that lets them trade, share, and borrow Pokemon with their team mates. Full transaction logs included to settle disputes, read for more info: Team Pokemon Bank

  • Economy Bank: Teams have a shared bank holding currency, combined with transaction logs & permission system. This'll be used more in the future for purchasing Team upgrades & paying Taxes/Team upkeep.

  • Group Statistics: Teams track statistics that are easily configurable - allowing server owners to track custom stats. Third party mods can register statistic providers as well. Statistics feed the leaderboard system, so Team's can compete against each other. Read more: Team Statistics

  • Leaderboards: Statistics feed the Team Leaderboardssystem. Leaderboards can be accessed via GUIs or in holograms using the Team Placeholdersoptions (both Mini & Papi supported).

Teams, Factions, Clans, Guilds?

The mod is named Teams, and documentation refers to player groups as Teams, but you can configure the mod to refer to player groups as whatever you want across the board (commands, GUIs, messaging). The default config names groups "Guilds", as the "/team" command clashes with the built-in MC scoreboard functions.

Planned Features

  • Item Storage (virtual chests, think player vaults from Factions / common enderchest)

  • Taxes / Upkeep: require <X> money per <Y> time to keep your Team. Can be based on different things, like Team Level or amount of members.

  • Team Join Applications: more ways for Team's to get new members, like having Team's open to applications (GUI based).

  • Team Chat - probably best for this to be handled by a chat mod /w channels that are permission based. Team members can have a permission assigned so only they can access it. CarbonChat has a bunch of issues with registering channels via a sidemod.

Potential Features / Looking for input

  • Preset 'Official' Teams (public teams that can be joined by default)

  • Team Levels ? (potentially can upgrade things like storage - personally I think clan balance + paid upgrades equalling a level is best)
